What a shame. As for the arabic name, Iran was under Islamic domination explaining why his name was not Iranian and even today as we are under Islamic domination people name their children after arab savages like Ali, Mohammad...............

ya like how Mohammad Reza Shah was named after "arab savages".

what do you want iranians to name themselves, it is their choice. do you want them to call themselves martin?

like it or not, Iran is part of islamic world. now cry like a little bitch, you who have no regard for Iranian cultural heritage.

Yes, our good Shah was named after Arabs; at least his first and middle names. His last name was Pahlavi, which goes back to the time of the Sassanids.

In an ironic twist, it all makes sense. A strong patriotic Iranian king went by the name of an Arab hound, while an Arab hound goes by the name of a strong patriotic Iranian king. The balance of the universe is thus restored.

It s good to have a pure Iranian name like Emam, not certain about Kooni?

Hey Amir, Sassanids sound like Jewish or Armenian. I bet, the word "sosiss" goes back to him.
