High interest rate
In the countries with low intellectual (?) and crooked politician, high interest rate is used to rape the country financially and legally which keeps the country poor. This disaster was used against Brazil for many decades by corrupted politician and bankers ) and new Nazi group. At a point the interest rate in Brazil was 40% monthly compound. But Brazilian government used to devaluate the money 1000 times every two to three years. With that interest rate , one dollar changes to ; $24201.43236 in 2.5 years . If we divide the result by 1000 for correction ( devaluation) we will still end up with 24.20 times more money in 2.5 years. Which means every dollar changes to 24 or every $100000 changes to $2.4 Millions in 2 and half years.
Now lets look at Iran: There is no devaluation but straight annual compound interest of
(36% ?) for the last ten years: The formula is: { A*(1+I) to power of N}
Lets sell our house for $100000 and put the $100000 in the bank based on 36% interest for 10 years . A=100000 I=36% N=10 100000* (1.36) to power of 10=
100000*(21.64656968)=$2164656.968
Which means your money will be multiplied by 21.6. take the $100000 ( your capital) out of it, you will have =$2064656.97 ( 2Million dollars) which is legally, stolen money from poor and hungry people of Iran. Why anyone needs to work, all one needs is seed money and some time.

Now instead of $100000 try putting Millions and billions in the bank. It doubles every two years or.... you can pick up 21 times without any worry and pain in ten years. Sweet stolen money, Ha ?.
Iranian interest rate abuse started about the time Brazil interest rate abuse was stopped ( someone, somewhere felt sorry for Brazilian?) and when and if it is stopped in Iran it will probably start in another poor country. It is caused by greed , political corruption and the international bankers ). Therefore keep your eyes open, and since you can not stop the evil, then expose it or enjoy it with the rest of the crooked one.
Interest rate abuse is, giving away the whole national production to interest and keeping the country poor and in debt. Unfortunately people get addicted to this free money specially those who are making millions annually without moving a finger. They have no concern about social problems caused by it. When Ahmadi Nejad first talked about cutting the interest rate, the first one who complained was Rafsanjani who is doubling his money every two years (at 36%) with many others like him. Rafsanjani an ignorant man complained that lower interest rate will causes people to start monopolizing the real estate market...

What he really meant was that, if they stop the high interest rate he and his family and friends will start monopolizing the real estate market, because they are the only one with all the stolen money. But....The problem is that, they have already monopolized everything and there is nothing else left to abuse ( beside interest rate). **
A big portion of the trillions of Dollars which exited from Iran was mostly interest paid on stolen money to the high ranking of regime or interest paid to foreign entities. And this is one of the reason for the present poverty condition in Iran. Ignorant rulers steal what they can and what they can not they give away as interest to themselves, families and friends, and the rest to foreign friends and supporters ...... while.... the people are hungry and in search of a peace of bread. **************Ask them for their logic behind high interest rate ( free money)and laugh at their stupidity and greed.*********

Starving Ego
Shadowed by the wish for thousands of "filthy" marching pennies and at the request of my ever starving ego. I lied, I cheated and became a celebrity, rich, and like many other stars. I bought everything; a castle, a pony and a car, plus, many other spectrum of things which were desired by my ever starving ego. I tried to fill the black hole of my egos, with all those chattels, and in desire of a real smile. With each step the vacuum became vaster, and the sound of my unhappiness could be almost heard all the way to the stars. Alas ...the sound was all lost in thousand of ever changing faces of desires of the ego, ever rambling of my mind and ever craving of my heart. Suddenly my awareness, sparked a powder trail of explosion in my consciousness and my condition thinking kneeled powerlessly. And in a blink.... the old pain departed my lonely heart.. and a soothing, poured over me from somewhere euphoric shiny and within, and not quite so far.

I am writing this post, from my memory, therefore where ever I quote someone, the wording may not be the same but the meanings are the same....

Thomas Jefferson was a great thinker and the third US president. In one of his speeches, Lincoln said “ Your tolerance ( the slaves) for us, is a grave burden.” In his another speech he said: “ a country divided would not last” He was thinking to transfer all the slaves to the outside of the US ( like Panama) and colonize them there in the plantations, out of sight.
After the Lincoln election as president, the southern states claimed independence from the north and civil war broke off. Union army were losing ground in the war, therefore Lincoln decided to dis-stabilize the economy in the south by declaring that, all the slaves in the warring southern states “only”as free man”. This tactic was effective but could not change the outcome of the war much. Later he decided to give freedom to the slaves in the north and use them as troops in the war. This action, changed the outcome of the war and caused the union army to win the war. Later in one of his speeches he said “ Civil war, death and destruction is a grave payment for 200 years of slavery by the white man”.
Same year that union army won the war, Lincoln was assassinated by an actor, while he was attending a show. Therefore no one knows, what could have happened to the slaves, if Lincoln would have lived longer. After his death some of the slaves were transferred to the plantation outside the country and it took many more years for the rest to be accepted as an equal.

I am writing this post, in response to Prince Reza Pahlavi's comment about the interest rate, during his latest interview for the Norouz ( march 2007) and in reference to my own prior post.

More explanation to my prior post.....and a response...

In a country with high inflation, the interest rate will be adjusted to accommodate the rate of inflation. If the rate of inflation is 30%, cash money will lose 30% of its buying power therefore banks may offer 37% interest to compensate for the inflation and therefore attract customers
( in reality the rate of return will be only 7%). 30% inflation means, if you pay 900 Toomans to buy one dollar this year, next year you would need 1200 Toomans and the next year after, you would need 1600 Toomans to buy a dollar and so on. But since Iranian economy like the Iranian government is fake with no logical base ( Manupulated?), during the last 10 years the rate of exchange of Toomans to dollar never changed ( it fluctuated between 750 to 900). That means Although inflation Affected buying power of the people who are living in Iran, unless their salary was adjusted accordingly ( 30% annual increase in their salary), but the inflation would not have Affected the high interest income of those who are living in Iran (?) or an entity living outside the country, like you and me. Why?
If I have exchanged my Dollars for 900 ( 800? ) Toomans per dollar, 10 years ago and I have invested it in the bank with 37% interest, my money would have been more than 21 times (37% interest?) by now and since the rate of exchange is the same as 10 years ago, my profit would have not been affected because I can exchange all that profit to dollar with the same rate!!!. In the Brazil the value of their money was falling daily to compensate for the high inflation and therefore high interest rate but not enough, which is, another version of the same kind of robbery but more hidden.
In a normal condition, 30% inflation and therefore 37 % interest rate should have changed the exchange rate to, 12000 Tooman ( rough estimate?) per dollar in ten years. In that case; the Iranian investors were doubling their money in ten years as well as you and me which is a fair and square deal ( only 7%, effective interest rate).

*Yes, Iran needs to pay high interest rate to compensate investors for the inflation, but that inflation should be accounted for in the value of the money, by dropping it daily (0.08% daily or 2.5% monthly). Then we will have a just and normal system and everyone will be paid accordingly.
PS: This article was written based on 30% annual inflation rate in Iran. The real inflation rate can be much higher or????
PS2: For simplicity I have assumed that the dollar value is constant and the annual rate of inflation remains the same (30%)

More about interest rate....
In conclusion I would like to summarize all the choices and their overall effects on economy:
1- VVSP Method (very, very stupid people method )This is the method which is used in Iran for the past decades.***
Keeping the value of the money the same, compare with Dollar and paying a high interest rate, to compensate for the inflation (37% ?) Everyone with extra cash will make free money. Foreign investors can exchange their big return at any point of time with the fixed rate of exchange and run. This method is like giving the whole GNP away, killing the economy and keeping the country under increasing debt for ever.
2- VSASP Method ( very stupid and suicidal people method ) This is the new proposed system.
Paying a low interest rate (7%) while inflation is 30% and keeping the value of the money constant.
Most foreign investors will avoid investing ( because it is insane) although if they do, and nothing changes for a while, they can exchange their money and take it with 7% interest. The General public in Iran will receive 7 % interest while they are losing 30% buying power
(net (-23). This method will force some business minded people into creation of black market and it will drag the rest of the population into more and more poverty. This condition will cause the whole banking system and economy to crash ( unless you have oil money??).

3- TSP Method ( The sane people Method ) Following the normal economic rules, which is paying high interest rate to compensate for inflation while dropping the value of the money daily ( not monthly ?) According to the rate of inflation. Everyone will ends up with inflationary compensation and %7 reward. All the greedy investors will hit the road and the country will attract some sane investors. 7 or 8 % interest rate in today’s world attracts any ones attention ( if we can build their trust?)
This method at the start will frighten the general public because they will see daily changes in the exchange rate ( money losing its value daily) but they will adjust to it and will benefit from it. Since Iranian government is dishonest, fake and it is floating on water and oil money, it may not follow this sane solution and if it do so, since government is undependable, it may not be able to attract investors easily. But indifference, it is the only sane way out.
