Culture)
How Had
The Persians Died?!
His
eyes were anxious and he was wide-eyed,
When I spoke of history, he got bright-eyed,
I shouted of glories and he sharp-eyed,
I sighed of defeats and he misty-eyed!
The
class was over and he was still dissatisfied,
He quenched the average and saw the broadside,
He searched for knowledge, he approached the benchside,
He asked for more, a historical joyride!
He
spoke gently, asked for an insight,
Teach me more, he demanded alongside,
Tell me of my Persian Heritage and my ironside,
Teach me master, be my waveguide!
He
was my overqualified student, citywide,
He brought along a couple of friends, starry-eyed,
Together, enthusiastic, they asked me, bleary-eyed,
Oh Master, how had the Persians died?!
They
sighed, where had the Persians died?
They screamed, when had the Persians died?
They moaned, why had the Persians died?
They cried, how had the Persians died?
They
sighed, where had the Persians died?
Rostam Farokhzad was his name, I replied, they freeze-dried!
Euphrates River, 635 AD, Persians won with pride,
Rostam roamed the battleground on the hillside.
Qadesiyeh,
west bank of Tigris River, 636 AD, the homicide,
Rostam and Immortals fought to the final drop of blood, intensified,
It was a great day to live but it was shortsight!
And that's how The Rostam died!
Fall
of Ctesiphone, 638 AD, the nation divide,
Victory came at Jalola, but it couldn't change the tide,
Piruzan and Hormozd tried, but they stopped to glide,
And that's how the Ctesiphone died!
Nahavand
in Ecbatana, 641 AD, the world collide,
Susa, 642 AD, catastrophe and then the downside,
Persepolis, 650 AD, the fall of Zoroastrianism like a snowslide,
651 AD, and that's how the Yazdgird died!
They
screamed, when had the Persians died?
651 AD, Fall of our civilization, it was genocide,
Choices were Quran, Sword, fly Iran or suicide,
Time was on their side, nation was forced Arabized!
They
moaned, why had the Persians died?
Tragedies, excuses, mistakes, low moral and barbarians too vicious,
nationwide,
Invasion, occupation, pillage, murder, rape, slavery magnified,
One nation under Allah, Islam's goldenside!
Blood
and Tears, Polygamy and Pedophile, bona fied,
Better results than this defeat, would be Cyanide!
Bodies hung from trees, burning cities, corps on the seaside,
Islam's present for Iran, was much cut-and-dried!
Like
a cancer, it covered the land of the petrified,
Servitude of Allah, Slave to Arabs, a great fungicide!
Group raped, forced marriage and concubined, were women's choices,
statewide,
Fall of a civilization, destruction of a culture, slavery of a race,
the foe had cowhide!
They
cried, how had the Persians died?
Disciples shouted, how had the Persians died?
Disciples puzzled, immaculated, dazed and confused, doomed to this
exile, confined,
Disciples demanded, how had the Persians died?
Thou
shall not mourn the death of Ariana, I whispered to them dewy-eyed,
Don't take The Death as granted, don't be satisfied!
Oh don't ask me, how had the Persians died?
No, don't ask me, how had the Persians died?
Ask
me, how had the Persians lived?
Ask me how had the Persians loved?
Ask me how had the Persians Grooved?
Ask me how had the Persians lived?
Ask
me how the Persians live (I replied)?
Ask you how the Persians live (they inquired)?
Still lives some Persians?! How the Persians live (they inquired)?
Still lives a few, ask me how the Persians live (I replied)?
With
anxious eyes, they inquired,
With tears in their eyes, they awaited,
Tell us, how the Persians live?
Tell us, how the Persians live?
With
absolute silence, they awaited my reply,
Master, Tell us, how the Persians live?
Gently I broke the silence and replied,
Once upon a time, lived a man ....
Oh,
Once upon a time, there was a fire burning in my soul, burning bright,
Oh Once upon a time, I had a Master,
His name was Kourosh, his fame was Aryamanesh ..........
Once upon a time ..............
.......
and that's how the Persians live ...........
....... and that's how the Persians love ...........
.......
and that's how the Persians die ...........

To
the memory of our mentor and my master, Dr. Kourosh Aryamanesh
...........
