"Man is nothing else but that which he makes of himself...Thus, the first effect of existentialism is that it puts every man in possession of himself as he is, and places the entire responsibility for his existence squarely upon his own shoulders."
--Sartre

I am a strong believer in man as a maker and master of himself. And as such I am driven to maintain that whatever misery we are experiencing today is solely the doing of our own minds. Any contrary thought to this is viewed by me as entirely a sign of weakness and I will have none of it!
