I hope I will find diverse ppl with diverse views here so that I cant
learn and hopefully give something back!


One thing that caught my attention was the sites poor policy!
To preserve Persian culture and history or whatever it said!
As a fullblooded iranian with persian heritage I cant stand iranians
who when talking about iran only mention persians persians persians!

Iran consists of many ethnic groups that make up the iranian family!
We have azeris, persians, tajiks, baluchs, kurds, afghans etc etc...

The funny part was that there are many farvahar signs in this website
and everything is refered to "persians", while the biggest contributor
to the zartusht religion are the azeris of Iran!

If the persians of Iran, including myself keep up this talk about Iran
and persians only then when some gropus wanna break lose and create
independent states using our holy soil we shouldn be surprised!

Dear POP,

First of all allow me to welcome you to the board; i'm sure we will learn a lot from each other and hopefully be able to implement what we've learnt from each other in real life.
"Iranians" were ALL referred to as Persians for centuries by foreigners and I believe this is the reasoning behind using Persian on this english-language website. Our country was known as Persia before Reza Shah the Great changed it to Iran and with that replaced Persian with Iranian. However Shahanshah Aryamehr declared that both names could be used and in his book "Mission for my Country" when referring to all of Iran's various ethnic people (Azeris, Kurds, Tajiks, Balooch.....) he uses the word Persian.
On this board we love all the people of Persia/Iran.
